Vivadivine 2014: The Cliché Reflection Post!

I swore I would not do this; write a post about my reflections of 2014. It is such a cliché. However as I was driving around grabbing champagne and eatables for tonight’s celebration I thought to myself how could I not share what I have learned in my first year’s foray into sharing the journey I’ve been on for the last three years.
I started this blog this year to share with others the journey of a spiritual awakening. So it would be remiss if I did not open my mouth and say something about what I have learned this year. Here goes the clichéd post.

1.Awakening is amazing. I can attest for the euphoric moments that you will experience when the scales fall off your eyes and you discover who you really are. It’s a whirlwind of uncontested happiness and joy.

2.Awakening is painful. With your awareness growing constantly, you see the world with a new set of eyes. You become more empathic, and feel and see everything painful around you. The good thing is that this awareness will drive you fur…

Writing Your Life Story

“Leave no "full stop" in between the sentences that make up your life story. If anything, let "commas" show that when you were brought down by challenges, you rose up with passion and moved on again!
― Israelmore Ayivor, The Great Hand Book of Quotes

Who of us has not sat down with someone who has lived a great life and was in awe of the things they experienced, overcome and accomplished? Didn’t you walk away feeling moved? Did it seem like they went through things and at some point realized they were on a path that led them to something amazing?
Most people look out at other people’s life story; thinking only special people have great stories to tell. No! Every single one of us has an amazing story inside of us that needs to be told. We all have the power to create the story we want to tell!

The moment you come to the understanding that your life is a story you are writing, you gain control of it. You begin the see the storyline from its beginning and at some point b…

Spiritual Awareness: Set Your Frequency.

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” ― Nikola Tesla

It is amazing how a tiny shift in your thoughts can change your environment. From those thoughts come energetic feelings that we send out as vibrations and others pick them up and find their way to you.

I intentionally sent out thought ideas this year that I wanted to meet new and interesting people. People who resonated with the things I am learning and the path that I am happily skipping down.

It did not take very long for people to start showing up in my life. I was suddenly getting messages from people I have known for a while who I guess had been watching me. I was shocked to find that these people have been quietly living past the illusion for many years. But due to the fact that people tend to criticize what they do not understand they choose to remain in the shadows. I was able to form deeper friendships and celebrate the fact that a substantial crowd of fello…

Spiritual Awareness: What Dreams May Come!

I dreamed I was a butterfly, flitting around in the sky; then I awoke.
Now I wonder: Am I a man who dreamt of being a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man?  -Zhuangzi
You will never understand how much you take your dreams for granted until you start to raise your consciousness. One of the symptoms of a spiritual awakening is that you will start to have vivid dreams or visions. I am here to tell you, these new type of dreams are no joke.

I have awakened many times wondering: Did I leave my body, because it sure felt like it. I did! But that’s another post. I have had joint dreams with people, dreams so vivid I would wake up tasting the food I was eating. Do not get me started on the recurring dreams and the out of world nightmares.

The list is endless when it comes to the things I have experienced in my dreams. At times I wonder if I have opened a portal to the fourth dimension and I fall through it every night. For those in the throes of awakening and want to ge…

Spiritual Awareness: Musings: The Soul Connection.

Somewhere in our psyche is this undeniable knowledge that we are looking for someone who complements us. At some point we realize it’s not really a half of our soul we are searching for, because all the love we truly seek is inside of us. No, this person is another soul who brings forth the best in us, our spiritual magnet and counterpart. It is two whole people who come together and create a bigger energy.
Many of us go through life hoping to find the ying to our yang and when we do it can be a very unsettling moment. We think we are prepared for it when in truth we are not. Because in our minds we believe that when we meet his person bells and whistles will go off and everything will be candy canes and popsicles. Instead, we are suddenly silenced because before us stands a person who we know intuitively has the ability and power to touch the deepest parts our souls. They can take us so high and so low and hurt us so deeply. It’s hard to explain how we intrinsically know this from t…

Spiritual Awarness: 2015: The Year of Manifestation!

“Fully inhale your dream and completely exhale manifestation of it.” ― T.F. Hodge
I have been intuitively noticing over the last month or so an increasing attitude toward the upcoming year. I have become aware of people verbally claiming what they want to happen in their lives for 2015. There is a lot of manifestation energy flying around and the time is ripe for tapping into it. Whether if it is fulfilling specific goals, finding and expressing their life’s purpose, upgrading a financial situation or your health or even finding that relationship that adds meaning to life, people are consciously putting it out into the Universe what they want to start experiencing in their lives.

I have been intentionally manifesting what I want for a while now. It's a fun, amazing and rewarding experience. I see what has shown up already and I am pretty excited about what is coming down the road.

One of the first steps to attracting what you want is identifying what you do not want or like that …

Spiritual Awareness: Following Your Life Plan.

“Listen to your heart; it will guide you on the right path.”  ― Lailah Gifty Akita
There is this interesting spiritual concept that I hold close and it’s that we are spiritual beings having a human experience in this school called Earth. It also includes a thought that before our spirits came here to learn we agreed on certain life lessons we would be a part of. We picked a certain Life Course.
To help us learn these lessons we agreed to interact with other souls on this mission. We chose our families, brothers and sisters, friends, spouses and even our children. When our spirits came here we lost the memory of these agreements.
I think it’s an interesting thought and when I applied it to the story of my life I could not help but wonder. At some point I did encounter people who seemed to fit into my life in very interesting ways.  I looked back at my life and I see where in my late teens where I started to move in a direction that almost seemed planned. Certain people showed up in m…

Spiritual Awakening: A Life Changing Event.

We are not human beings having a Spiritual Experience.
We are spiritual beings having a Human Experience.
-Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

December 11th, 2013 was a beautiful, clear, sunny and cool day. I remember it vividly, walking to lunch that day with my face turned up to the sun. I was in the throes of the happiest feeling I had ever felt in my life.

That evening I came home with my heart full of gratitude and joy. I climbed into bed and began an intense conversation with whatever was the Source of my happiness. The first five minutes I think all I could articulate was “thank you” over and over again. I expressed intense gratitude for what had been a growing feeling of joy that had enveloped me over the past few months. I then started praying for everyone within my circle of friends, specifically asking for things to be bestowed upon them. I then branched out of that circle and further and further out, until I realized I was praying for the whole existence of mankind. If you are r…

Spiritual Awareness: Hurt People, Hurt People.

“Keep in mind, hurting people often hurt other people as a result of their own pain. If somebody is rude and inconsiderate, you can almost be certain that they have some unresolved issues inside. They have some major problems, anger, resentment, or some heartache they are trying to cope with or overcome. The last thing they need is for you to make matters worse by responding angrily.” ― Joel Osteen.

I would like to think that I am mostly a kind and loving person. I make an earnest effort to treat people with the dignity and respect I believe is rightfully theirs. I am sure I have missed the mark at times, but saying or doing hurtful things intentionally, malicioiusly and consistently is not part of my character. For the most part, those close to me feel and behave the same way.

But every once in a while I encounter someone who says or does something hurtful to me and it always gives me reason to pause.

Someone whom I have known since my teenage years said something to me about my mot…

Spiritual Awareness: The Soul Stare!

“The eyes are the window to your soul”― William Shakespeare
We have all heard the saying that the eyes are the windows to the soul. How many times have you found yourself having a conversation with someone and looked deeply into their eyes and became so immersed in their soul? Doesn’t it feel as if you can almost “see” into the inner part of who they are? Do you find yourself seeing things about the person that goes beyond your physical sight, as if you can really know what is going on with the person?

We look at ourselves on a regular basis. We view ourselves in the mirror when we are preparing to go out somewhere. We may even study our appearance from time to time. However, have you ever sat down and looked, really peered through your eyes into your own soul?

I did that recently, when a friend of mine mentioned doing an exercise where he stood in front of a mirror and really looked at himself. Like you, I have never thought about trying this. I was very curious as to what my soul w…
