Spiritual Awareness:The Quantum Leaps- Part Two!

We are the product of quantum fluctuations in the very early universe.
-Stephen Hawking

(This is a follow up the previous post: The Quantum Leaps- Part One which you can read here.)

Recently I was trying to describe to someone what it feels like to have a quantum leap of thought. The topic came up because we were discussing the different views of thought I have opened myself to over the past two years. Being exposed to these different points of view, via different types of people have created these instances where my thinking jettisons from one place to another.

Basically the term quantum leap comes from the world of physics. An in-depth definition would state that a quantum leap is  an abrupt transition of an electron, atom, or molecule from one quantum state to another, with the absorption or emission of a quantum. However a more simplified version that you could use that is outside of the scientific world, is that a quantum leap  is a huge, often sudden, increase or change in something.

We all have quantum leap moments. They usually are these moments when things are one way and then they suddenly change. A quantum leap could be described in this scenario: Today you have your regular job, and tomorrow you are called by a recruiter and was offered the job of a life time. The part when you leaped was skipping the process of looking for that awesome job. You are usually amazed at how things unfolded.

If you look back on your life I am sure you may see all the leaps you have taken.

A quantum leap in thinking, however, is a totally different matter. As you grow in awareness, you will notice when your consciousness shifts, alters or changes. Something within you feels different, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The leaps do not have to be necessarily very large either. Just a small shift is noticeable. However a large enough shift can throw you into a whole other dimension.

I usually get large spiritual leaps when I interact with others who have been studying spirituality. Also, sound teachers usually set me off which is understandable. I have a beginner’s mind and my goal is to learn. So it’s not surprising that I will quickly grasp a concept today that would have taken me much longer to get ten years ago.

I had a huge leap during the Oprah Live Your Life Weekend, last year. I had another one recently while listening to Dr. Deepak Chopra give a lecture. I am pretty sure that I will have a more profound one when I attend James Van Praagh’s upcoming workshop, because his event will be more intimate.

These quantum leaps will take various forms for different people. For most people, the leaps are learning ones. It could be something that is said to you that you may need to hear, to take you to the next place in your Journey To Awareness. Your quantum leaps could be moments of clarification. They could also be moments of confirmation. This is what my leaps mostly are. By the time I get to the person or teacher, I have already arrived at the thought they may share. But I have not vocalized it because many times I wonder if I am right in my thinking. But then there is, the confirmation of the truth that I had been sitting with for a while.

The very night before I went to Dr. Chopra’s lecture I tweeted this: “We are reflections of the Universe. Full of light and dark, sunny spots and black holes.” I had been lying in bed thinking when it popped into my head. Usually this happens quite a lot to me. How ironic that during his lecture, Dr. Chopra spend a considerable amount of time discussing the different types of matter, dark and light that make up the Universe. He also delved into what we are: Expressions of the Universe, extensions of the Source of Light and Life. Infinity. I sat there, once again realizing that most of my leaps are verification of things that I already know. I know these things because I ask the right questions. I get answers all the time, and then these answers are always confirmed.

Are you having any shifts in your perception or awareness that could be quantum leaps? Believe me, you would know. If you don’t think you are, here are some good questions that will help you to move to that next rung of the Awareness Ladder:

Are you asking the questions that you need to that will help you live the life you were meant to? What do you want to know?

Are you consistently happy, mostly stress free and holding a positive viewpoint of all aspects of your life?

Are love, joy and peace constants inside your life and are not attached to anything outside of you?

Are you still holding back from creating a direct connection to what it is that feeds your life?

Do you feel as if you are living a partial life, is there something you are not feeling in your life to its fullness?

Are you still attached to a set of beliefs because you are afraid of the Unknown?

Do you know where your life is going?

Are you creating the version of the life you have envisioned?

Do you know why you are here?

All these questions will create the perfect conditions for you to get the answers that will create the Quantum Leaps of Life. Within your existence is the ability to grow. And the only way that will happen is when your spirit learns and stretches. The more your awareness expands the more you will understand about how to navigate this beautiful experience called Life!

Happy Leaping!
