Raising Your Consciousness: The Lighter Body Evolution!

“You are not your body. You are the sum of all your actions, and they live on after your body dies. You may be mortal, but your brand is eternal.”
― Jarod Kintz

As part of my effort to shift into a place where I am expressing my journey as authentically as possible, I want to start sharing some of the spiritual aspects of developing a lighter, happier soul and body. The reason for taking this step is because I have noticed quite a few regular responses or questions to the Spiritual Awakening Symptoms on the Vivadivine YouTube Channel. It is evident and will always be, that people are searching for answers to the physiological changes one can go through as you shed old energy and grow into a lighter happier person.

However beyond these initial symptoms of awakening there is an even more extensive array of physical manifestations of spiritual evolution that one can experience as they open up more to Universal Energy.

Here is a thought for you to ponder. Spiritual beings beyond the phy…

Positivity: How To Live SMARTER in 2016 and Beyond!

“All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim, have fixed their gaze on a goal which was high, one which sometimes seemed impossible.”
~ Orison Swett Marden

I could not decide what to write about for the last post of the year.  There are so many things that have occurred in the last twelve months that has shaped my life and I am sure you feel the same. I wondered, should I write about the many lessons and blessings that have unfolded for me, with hopes that you too will find something that resonates?

There is no doubt that we all can find something to take away from the outgoing year. Lessons and blessings are both very important to our inner growth. What we learn we can take with us into the future.  But instead of looking back, for a change, let’s talk about now and peer a bit into the future to see what we can do to broaden our experience, to harness our lessons better and to plan for growth.

At the end of each year many people set resolutions. Resolutions in fact …

Positivity: 2015 In Review

As another year wanes, I always like to take a step back and look at the outgoing year and do a quick review.
2015. What a year. I believe this is the year that many will look back and say this is the year it all started. I say this because, I observed not only with my life, but the lives of others, things really shifted and changed in many ways. The slow wake-up is upon us. It can only get better from here.

For me it started off with a great deal of energy. There was this momentum that seemed to start early in the year. It only picked up speed. I saw so many people following their hearts and making the moves to do whatever it was that they truly loved. All of that energy just created more and it seemed to push many of us into directions that we were truly not expecting.
Toward the middle of the year, things shifted again. Many of my friends including myself seemed to be absorbing large amounts of information that touched our souls. I recall reading something so profound about the hu…

Spiritual Awareness: Feast Your Eyes!

“The relation between what we see and what we know is never settled.
Each evening we see the sun set. We know that the earth is turning away from it. Yet the knowledge, the explanation, never quite fits the sight.”
-John Berger, Ways of Seeing

The eyes are amazing organs. Through our eyes, we see the world. We take in information from all things and people around us. We process all of this and it becomes imbued in our soul.

Have you ever seen something that disturbs your soul? Have you ever looked at something that once your soul ingests it, it is difficult to forget and stays with you no matter how hard you try to remove it? Once you have seen something, you cannot "un-see" it. So how do we teach ourselves to feast our eyes on things that are good for us? And how do we learn to see things and understand their place and where they sit in our souls?

In a recent conversation among friends, someone misunderstood a statement I made. When I said that: “I see the things in the …

Awakening: Fantastic Journey!

“The best part of the journey is the surprise and wonder along the way.”
― Ken Poirot

This past weekend I attended the annual CYCLE Houston Bicycle Build. CYCLE which stands for “Changing Young People’s Lives through Education” has an awesome ideal. This charity encourages children in grades K-3rd, to keep up their literacy skills for the current semester. As a reward, they receive a bicycle that was assembled by one of the many volunteers over the weekend and upcoming week.

This is the thirteenth year that this event has been held. However, since 2002 the bicycle giving program has morphed. Whereas it was once an event where lower income children received a bicycle for the Christmas holidays, today they are awarded the gift because of hard work. Today this program does more because it encourages the spirit of reading and learning in young children and is directly contributing to their inner growth.
The growth and change that this charity has gone through from once being known as Elv…

Awareness: Tips to Harness Happiness! Part Three.

"Most of us are just about as happy as we make up our minds to be."
-William Adams

Forgive Yourself
Confession: I was always forgiving others (which felt kind of easy) but hardly forgiving myself. So I started really paying attention to this whole process of Forgiving Me. It started with: “I forgive you Deb, for every time you were being a total and complete idiot.” We usually forgive people for the big stuff that happens, but never really give the small things the same importance. But it actually starts with doing that for ourselves.

I forgive myself in those rare moments I do want to or actually give someone more than a side-eye. I forgive myself for those times I could have said or done things differently. I forgive myself when I allow the truth to run ahead of me (Damn Perfectionist). I apologize to myself for not doing things that mean something to me, like not making eye-contact with someone as I passed them by, because it does bother me.
We have to forgive ourselv…
